Isle Himaryn
The Isle of Himaryn is a roleplay about wolves, big cats, and foxes (with of course the occasional misfit). Animals are born with an array of colors and are born with an element. Despite what seems like a very unoriginal plot...it's very unique. And the community has been growing, especially over the last 6 months. In fact, both admins are members there. A fool shows his annoyance at once,
but a prudent man overlooks an insult.

~Proverbs 12:16

~~~
I know...Proverbs again. However, I find that a lot of the wisdom in Proverbs is something anyone can relate with. And, this relates a little back to Proverbs 15:1.
How many of us as youngsters or even now have so-called blown up at somebody just because the other person said something idiotic or plain mean? I have...lots. Sometimes it's easier to turn your head and let these things slide. It may even allow the other person to rethink what they've said.
What experiences do you have with these kinds of situations?
Feel free to answer. I encourage it to get a discussion started.
The thing that struck my mind while reading over this verse was a day in late December of 2006. I was working a mediocre job in the mall and the other two employees took advantage of the slow afternoon to mock me in a way that made me sound ignorant.
While they picked in a subtle manner (it had something to do with my birds and making bird collars) I just smiled and nodded. It took a lot not to jump out of my seat and whack the snot out of the two girls. Yet, I knew what would happen if I took these actions. Because of my job being in the mall I'd have been hauled off by the mall police and the small incident would have been blown out of proportions.
In the end they got bored with their picking and changed subjects and I was relieved. I stayed mad and even highly depressed that the two had teased me so maliciously at work. I had kept my cool though. And, looking back now I realize how ignorant they were...not me.
