Galen had been looking all day for someone to fool around with. Unfortunately for him, everyone seemed to be inside or hiding out somewhere that he hadn't looked. And he had no patience to search the entire island. So he settled on making his way to the harbor and hoping that he ran into someone along the way.
So far he'd seen no one, but during the short periods of time he'd decided to spend in animal form he could smell people. And they had been around recently. So there was no harm in waiting around for a little while to see if the people he smelled were nearby and in need of a joker.
At the moment, he was standing one of the docks, leaning against a pole and watching the water. His grin was still a constant on his face, as he imagined the reaction he might get from one of the girls if he jumped in and splashed them.

ooc: Watch your writing. You are putting in a's and such that you really don't need. If you read it back to yourself you'll probably see what I mean. She'd left the shore about an hour ago. Now, the cat walked leisurely along. The harbor was primarily empty ahead of her. The docks were already cleared. The place was near silent, but for a few eager gulls swooping low in hoped of finding some scraps of fish. The harbor always became this way in the middle of the day. The only time it constantly remained active was right before dawn when the fisherman were leaving in their boats and right before dusk as they returned with their daily catches. By now, most had already been on the water for six hours. There was a single boat sitting idly in the water. It was a small old sailboat that had sat in that same spot for years. Eudora hopped onto it as she walked about. She crept along the edge of it, walking quickly with her tail held high for balance. Then, she jumped back down onto the dock. when she hopped down she saw a small figure sitting not too far ahead of her on the wooden dock, staring out at the water. Her head tilted to the side slightly and she quickened her pace with a curious little mew. She could only see his back, but she guessed by the round shape and cream hide that the little dog was a pug. Then there was the curly little tail that reminded her of a little pot-bellied pig. She pranced forward with anticipation. When she was close enough to pounce, she did. Her tail wiggled and then she leapt at the lone little dog without hardly a thought to outcome of the playful attack.

Galen yawned a bit, and that yawn turned into a bit of a snore-sound as he once again was in canine form. He was getting bored again, and was going to try and sniff out anyone to play with. It really made no sense to him that he hadn't found anyone yet. There were plenty of people on the island. Was it a holiday and he had forgotten?
He was about to go back off in his search for playmates, when his scent glands picked up on something. A new person to play with? His grin widened, and he prepared himself to turn just in time to tackle whoever it was into the water. It probably would've worked, if the person sneaking up on him hadn't been a cat, and as such a lot lighter on her feet than he was expecting. He was tackled from behind before he even had a chance to turn and see who it was.
He let out a little yip, probably scaring away any birds that happened to be nearby, as he jumped and darted- straight off the dock and into the cool water below.

Unfortunately for her, Eudora also plummeted into the warm water. Had she not liked water, this would have been a dramatic occurrence. But, she was pretty well adjusted to the feel of water upon her feet and even an occasional swim. She loved water.
She had not expected to knock her and the pug off the dock into the harbor water, but it had happened. She hit the water just after the cream form of the round pug did. The bitter taste of the salt water flooded into her delicate little nose.
Eudora gave a screech-like growl and swam hastily over to the dock. She dug her claws into a post and climbed up onto the dock. Once there she shook herself much like a dog and peered down at the swimming pug. She smiled and licked her paw playfully.
"Aye, I hope you doggie paddle well." she snickered.
ooc: Scent glands are glands that produce a scent on an animal so other animals can smell them. XD

Galen floundered, a little too distracted by his sudden plunge into the water to think to change into a human form, where he could swim a lot better. Not that he couldn't swim like this, but when your legs are tiny compared to your body, it does make it a bit difficult.
He did manage, after a couple minutes, to climb onto a nearby rock and glare playfully at the cat on the dock. Though it took only moments before his expression broke into that stupid grin he always wears as he laughed, and shook himself off.
"You cheated. Somehow. You did."
ooc: Oops, sorry 'bout that! I knew that, too...

"I never cheat. I just find ways around things." she replied with a smirk.
Eudora flicked her tail. On a normal occasion, this maneuver would have been quit fast and elegant to one watching her. However, her sopping wet tail flicked wildly with drips of water shooting a few feet in the direction it moved.
She looked over her shoulders at her rat-like tail and her ears flattened. She exaggerated an expression of horror then looked back at the pug with playful intent.
"I say, we do make quite an amusing duo. I'm surprised I haven't seen you about before. I can't believe how many I haven't met despite us living on such a small island."
She marveled for a second and licked a paw hastily. She liked water, but cats weren't particularly attractive when they looked like rats.
"So, what's your name?"
